Broad Spectrum Cannabinoids

CBD (Cannabidiol)
A non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in cannabis. After tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) is the second-most abundant cannabinoid in the cannabis plant, and is said to have many potential therapeutic benefits, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-anxiety and seizure-suppressant properties. CBD is not intoxicating; at the molecular level, it does the opposite of what THC does. Consumers report using CBD for a huge variety of health and wellness reasons, but a lot more research is needed to determine which symptoms and ailments it works best for.

CBG (Cannabigerol)
Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid typically most abundant in low-THC and high-CBD cannabis strains, including hemp. CBG interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system and shows significant therapeutic potential. While research into the cannabinoid is still early, CBG shows promise as an anti-inflammatory, mood regulator, cancer fighter, and appetite stimulant. It also has potent antibacterial properties. Because it is present in low levels (usually less than 1%) in most cannabis strains, CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid.

CBDV (Cannabidivarin)
A non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant that is similar to cannabidiol (CBD). CBDV interacts with components of the endocannabinoid system to regulate brain function, and it shows strong promise in the treatment of epilepsy. In many ways, CBDV functions similar to CBD, most notably, in its potential therapeutic properties. It has the ability to interact with pain receptors like other cannabinoids and so far research has illustrated both anticonvulsive and nausea relieving effects.

CBN (Cannabinol)
Cannabinol (CBN) is considered a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid known for its powerful sedative properties. Some studies suggest that CBN can be used effectively as a sleep aid or sedative. This cannabinoid has also been shown to help regulate the immune system and works to relieve the pain and inflammation caused by several conditions, including arthritis and Crohn’s disease. Studies show that it can be used to reduce the intraocular eye pressure caused by glaucoma.
